TwitchCon Amsterdam 2022: Celebrating Streaming Culture and Cosplay
TwitchCon Amsterdam 2022 is just around the corner, happening on July 16th and 17th. This convention is a celebration of all things related to the streaming platform and streaming culture, including the popular phenomenon of cosplay.
The Cosplay Contest: Showcasing the Best of the Craft
The cosplay contest will take place on July 17th, from 3pm to 4:30pm CET. Sixteen finalists will compete against each other, but they will be divided into four categories, representing different aspects of the craft.
The Categories and the Qualified Finalists
Here are the categories and the finalists who have qualified for each one:
- Armour: aheue, EllothinCosplay, HuttArmouries, Mientowa, searsha_craft
- FX: arborealkey, hartigan_cosplay, SunKoiCosplay, UnicornLifeArt
- Larger Than Life: ACraftyJellyfish, Jumika_, VilinaCosplay
- Needlework: ArsHedaCosplay, Dianae_Cosplay, waafuru_shiba, WandaWeb
In line with standard cosplay contests, each category’s finalists will be judged by a panel. However, TwitchCon Amsterdam features a top-tier judging panel consisting of Cinderys, KamuiCosplay, LadySundae, and MCroft07.
Visitors at the event will also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite finalist in a separate category called “Fan Favorite.” The winner of this category will receive a substantial prize of $4,000.
