Ludwig reduces YouTube subscription price to $1

Ludwig Lowers YouTube Channel Membership Price to $1 per Month

Ludwig, known for his move from Twitch to YouTube, has been vocal about the improvements he believes YouTube should make to better compete with Amazon’s streaming platform. In line with his goal to innovate YouTube streaming, Ludwig made an announcement on Thursday: becoming a member of his YouTube channel will now only cost users $1 per month.

Creating Accessibility for Viewers

In a tweet, Ludwig explained that while gifted subscriptions to his channel will remain at $5, he has lowered the price for viewers who wish to join the Ludbuds. Despite his success as a streamer and through various sponsorship deals and merchandise sales, Ludwig is not solely focused on making money. Instead, he wants to give back to his community.

Viewer-Funded or Ad-Supported

In a recent stream, Ludwig expressed that he prefers not to be viewer-funded and would rather have viewers watch ads and support him indirectly. He emphasized that he gives his main donations to his moderators and does not want direct monetary contributions. This further illustrates Ludwig’s dedication to his community and his desire to provide a positive viewing experience.

Affordability and Community Engagement

While Ludwig’s decision to lower the membership price may result in financial loss in the long run, it is expected to attract a large number of members to his YouTube channel. The affordability of the membership benefits, including access to custom emotes in chat, shows Ludwig’s commitment to creating an engaging community for his viewers.
