RFLCT, Valkyrae’s Skincare Line, is Now Unavailable

RFLCT Skincare Line Shut Down Following Controversy

RFLCT, the skincare line endorsed by popular streamer Valkyrae, has announced its closure. The company’s website now states that the product is no longer available and the RFLCT brand has been terminated.

The website has been completely taken down, including the payment and product pages. While RFLCT’s Twitter account is still active, it has only shared the announcement from the website and has not provided any further updates.

Backlash Over Fraudulent Claims

After Valkyrae’s endorsement of the skincare line and her role as co-CEO, questions were raised about the validity of RFLCT’s claims. Studies challenging the damaging effects of blue light on the skin were brought to light, leading to constant backlash against the company.

Valkyrae addressed the situation and her involvement in a now-deleted video. The parent company, Ideavation Labs, allegedly conducted its own studies but failed to release any results to the public, according to Valkyrae. She admitted to never visiting the lab and only serving as the company’s spokesperson.

DM Leaks and Personal Struggles

Leaked conversations with fellow streamer Ludwig revealed Valkyrae’s personal thoughts on the matter and potentially played a role in the company’s closure. Despite the controversy, Valkyrae expressed her belief in the project due to contractual obligations.

In the leaked messages, Valkyrae expressed her desire to end the contract, citing the significant damage it had caused to her personal image and brand. It is uncertain if Valkyrae’s departure from the project directly led to the shutdown of the website and product.
