Cloakzy and FaZe Clan amicably separate after 4-year stint

Cloakzy Leaves FaZe Clan After Four Years

Dennis “Cloakzy” Lepore, a content creator and FPS competitor, has officially ended his partnership with FaZe Clan. Cloakzy had been with the organization for four years.

Dispute with FaZe Clan

Cloakzy, formerly the captain of FaZe Clan’s Fortnite roster, had been involved in a public dispute regarding the contract between FaZe and his former teammate Turner “Tfue” Tenney.

Parting Ways and Apology

In a tweet, Cloakzy announced that he and FaZe Clan had reached an agreement to part ways. He also apologized for any negative comments he made about the organization during their contract negotiations.

Ongoing Issues

Although Tfue and FaZe Clan settled their legal disputes, Cloakzy’s problems with the organization continued. He claimed to have approached FaZe about potential contract buyouts or formal ways to leave the team, but no resolution was reached.

Despite FaZe Clan’s announcement that they were open to transfer proposals and working with Cloakzy as he departed the team, no progress was made.

Inactive Status

While still under contract, Cloakzy was listed as inactive on FaZe Clan’s competitive rosters since the initial disagreements in June 2019. His contract was set to expire in 2021.

Future Plans

Cloakzy intends to return to competitive gaming, but he is uncertain whether it will be in Fortnite, VALORANT, or another game. Currently a free agent, he plans to compete solo but is open to potentially joining another team in the future.
