Offline TV and Friends Rust Server to Be Shutdown for New Server Launch
Just one week after going live, the Offline TV and Friends Rust server is set to be shut down to make way for a new server to be launched later this week.
Plans to Shutdown Server
Abe, a member of Offline TV, announced that the server will be taken down at 2am CT on Jan. 5 in a recent post.
Insight into the New Server
Abe will be going live on his Twitch channel to provide information about the upcoming server, including rules and other details.
Original Server Continues
The original server will remain live for those who prefer competition, PvP, and raiding. Abe urged everyone to respect the decision and not send hate to anyone.
New Server Focus
The announcement of a new server came after popular streamers stepped away from the current server due to drama and harassment. The new server will focus solely on the role-playing elements of Rust.
With over 50 streamers participating, the original casual playing experience turned into raid-focused combat. The new RP server will have a limited number of streamers compared to the current server.
The list of streamers for the upcoming server has not been announced yet.
