Blizzard introduces the third episode of WoW: Afterlives animated series

Blizzard’s World of Warcraft: Shadowlands Explored in Afterlives Series

Blizzard has been generating excitement for the upcoming expansion, World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, with its animated series, Afterlives. The series provides a sneak peek into the various zones players will be able to explore in the expansion. The recent episode of Afterlives focused on the region of Ardenweald, a beautiful forest where the souls of those connected to nature find solace after death. In this episode, Ursoc, a familiar character from the Warcraft franchise, takes center stage.

The Fate of Ursoc Revealed

In the past, players had the opportunity to defeat a corrupted Ursoc. However, his story was left unfinished. The latest Afterlives episode resolves any lingering questions by showing that Ursoc’s soul found its way to Ardenweald. Here, he encounters new characters like Ara’lon, the Grove Tender, and the mysterious Winter Queen. Afterlives effectively introduces these characters ahead of their significant roles in the upcoming expansion.

When World of Warcraft: Shadowlands launches, players will have the chance to fully explore these characters and their stories. The Afterlives series serves as an introduction to the expansive narratives that will shape the Warcraft universe in the years to come.

What makes Shadowlands even more captivating is that players can focus on specific regions of their choice. The Shadowlands is divided into four zones, each with its own unique “Covenant” attached. Depending on the zone players select, they will gain specific abilities and reputation with the corresponding faction.

For nature enthusiasts who play as Druids or Hunters, the region of Ardenweald and its Night Fae faction would be particularly appealing.

Finale and Release Date

The final episode of Afterlives will be released on September 17th, and it will showcase the gothic and vampiric region of Revendreth. World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is set to launch on October 26th this year.
