PogChamps 2 Kicks Off with $50,000 Prize Pool
The highly anticipated PogChamps tournament is back, and this time, there’s a whopping $50,000 up for grabs.
Organized by Chess.com, PogChamps 2 brings together some of the most popular Twitch streamers to compete for the coveted title of PogChampion.
Selected from various categories on Twitch, these streamers include professional gamers, entertainers, and even actors, making for an exciting and diverse lineup. While they may be amateurs when it comes to chess, they shouldn’t be underestimated.
The three-week event will feature commentary from renowned chess grandmaster Hikaru Nakamura and Woman FIDE Master Alexandra Botez.
In the previous edition of PogChamps, former League of Legends pro Voyboy emerged as the champion with a thrilling 2-1 victory over Hutch. Additionally, YouTuber and internet personality MoistCr1tikal emerged victorious in the consolation bracket by defeating Ludwig in the finals.
