Last night, Summit1g revealed some details about his new exclusive deal with Twitch. This comes after the announcement that he will be staying with the popular platform.
Although Summit1g did not comment on whether he received an offer from Mixer, he expressed his relief that the deal is finally complete.
Summit1g shared, “It’s such a relief to have this off my shoulders. I no longer have to feel like I’m hiding something. Every time someone brought up the topic, it was difficult to explain that I am here for Twitch and not just for the deal.”
Even after the deal was finalized, Summit1g found it challenging to hide the fact that he was staying on Twitch. There was a period of time when the deal was already done, but he had to keep it a secret.
Struggles of Concealing His Decision

Summit1g shared his experience, saying, “I didn’t want to give away that I’m staying with Twitch because it hadn’t been announced yet. But at the same time, viewers were sad and confused because they thought I might be going to Mixer. It was an uncomfortable situation for both parties.”

A Change in Advertisements
Prior to signing his exclusive contract, Summit1g was against running advertisements on his stream. However, as part of his new deal with Twitch, he mentioned last night that he is now required to air them.
