GTA 6: A Drastic Transformation of Vice City
In the upcoming game GTA 6, players will be transported back to the iconic Vice City. However, a side-by-side comparison reveals just how different this new version will be compared to the original release. The changes are so drastic that it’s an understatement to say that things have evolved.
YouTuber FGS recreated shots from the new GTA 6 trailer within the world of GTA: Vice City. This video, shared on Dec. 5, highlights the stark contrast between the graphics of 2002 and the present day. While the visuals of the original game were considered impressive at the time, they now appear blocky and outdated, although they still capture a sense of nostalgia.
The new GTA 6 aims to revisit several locations from the original Vice City game but with a fresh and modern makeover. The game developers have given these familiar settings a new coat of paint to meet the high gaming quality expectations of today. In fact, the visuals of GTA 6 may even surpass anything we’ve seen before. Despite this, the classic PS2 title, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, still possesses a timeless charm. Even after 21 years since its initial release, it remains one of the franchise’s most beloved additions.
Rockstar’s decision to bring players back to Vice City is a brilliant move. It not only appeals to a new generation of GTA fans but also entices long-time players to return. Additionally, thanks to improved hardware capabilities, we can expect to explore Vice City in more depth than ever before.
We can only speculate about the extent of the changes in Vice City until GTA 6 is released. Let’s hope for all of our sakes that there won’t be any delays.
