Judging from the first GTA 6 trailer, it appears that Rockstar Games is not using real cars in the game. The trailer does not showcase any close-ups of manufacturer logos stamped on the cars, suggesting that the vehicles are fictional imitations.

At 0:32 in the “GTA 6 (Grand Theft Auto VI) Official Reveal Trailer,” a license plate can be seen with the text “Ch33tah.” However, the Cheetah is a supercar that has existed in previous GTA games and is a creation of Rockstar.

Why Doesn’t GTA Use Real Cars?

The reason why GTA and likely GTA 6 do not use real cars is mainly due to the high cost involved. Real car manufacturers would not want their expensive vehicles to be depicted in destructive or criminal activities within the game. To make real cars a possibility, Rockstar would have to pay a significant sum of money. Instead, they opt for accurate depictions of famous supercars.
