Top GTA 5 Features We Hope to See in GTA 6

Grand Theft Auto V: The Game That Sets the Standard

The announcement of an upcoming reveal trailer for GTA 6 has created a frenzy among the gaming community. This shouldn’t be a surprise, considering that Grand Theft Auto V is one of the most successful and acclaimed video games in history.

When GTA 5 was released in 2013, it made history by becoming the fastest game or movie to reach $1 billion in revenue, accomplishing this feat in just three days. Not only that, but it went on to become the second-highest selling game of all time, earning over $8 billion in total.

GTA 5 introduced several standout features that contributed to its success. While Rockstar Games is known for never copying and pasting features between games, it would be a missed opportunity not to consider some of these features for GTA 6.

Multiple Protagonists and an Engaging Storyline

GTA 5 was the first game in the series to feature multiple protagonists within the main story. It introduced retired career criminal Michael, his erratic and violent former partner Trevor, and up-and-coming criminal Franklin. Each character has their own distinct personality and brings a variety of mission types to the GTA 5 campaign.

The evolving relationships of these characters, particularly the rocky reunion between Michael and Trevor and Michael’s mentorship of Franklin, create a captivating storyline. The intersections of their goals and actions make for a compelling narrative. Having a similarly great cast in GTA 6 would be crucial for maintaining the high standard set by GTA 5.

The Thrill of Planning Heists

The heist-planning system in GTA 5 and GTA Online adds depth and excitement to the gameplay experience. Players who invest time and money into preparation are rewarded. Successfully executing an online heist with friends is incredibly fulfilling.

In the GTA 5 story, the protagonists can recruit potential heist participants from other missions and activities, giving players important choices to make. Opting for an amateur will yield a bigger payout but increase the chances of something going wrong. Choosing a professional, on the other hand, reduces risk but comes with higher planning costs. The ability to plan heists yourself enhances the enjoyment of the heist missions.

Seamless Online Play

The seamless transition between playing the protagonists in the GTA 5 story and your GTA Online character is a standout feature. With just a few simple steps, you can switch from the main story to online play and join a public lobby swiftly.

Overall, the inclusion of GTA Online in GTA 5 was a major selling point that greatly contributed to the game’s success. Considering the immense popularity and financial success of GTA Online, it’s safe to assume that it will be a staple in GTA 6 as well. Featuring heists, races, criminal activities, and providing a platform for the RP community, online play is an integral part of the GTA experience and should be upheld in the next installment.
