Top LATAM VALORANT free agent’s future uncertain following resurfaced racist clip

Brazilian VALORANT Pro xand’s Future in Jeopardy After Resurfacing Racist Clip

Brazilian VALORANT professional, Alexandre “xand” Zizi, recently attended tryouts for LOUD during the current VCT off-season. Despite not securing a deal, he was still regarded as a top free agent. However, his future in professional VALORANT is now in danger after an old racist clip resurfaced.

The resurfaced clip dates back to xand’s days as a professional CS:GO player in Brazil. During an ESEA match, he used a Portuguese racist remark, “preto fudido,” which translates to “f***ing n-word,” after dying to another player. The exact age of the clip is unknown, but xand himself stated that it was from seven years ago.

The clip went viral on Twitter during xand’s attendance at the Multiplatform Esports Game (MEG) in Brazil. As a result, the tournament organizer immediately banned xand from playing at the event and all future editions. This development squashed xand’s opportunity to impress any LATAM VCT teams and secure a spot for the 2024 season after not being selected by LOUD.

In a Twitter statement, xand expressed remorse for his past actions and stated that he is not the same person he was back then. However, he remains uncertain about his future in professional gaming. has reached out to xand for further comment.

Xand has had a successful career as an esports player, with notable stints in FURIA, Ninjas in Pyjamas, and KRÜ Esports. He achieved recognition in CS:GO, particularly for attending the StarLadder Berlin Major with INTZ in 2019.
