Significant UI Change in Latest VALORANT Patch Hints at Upcoming Addition of New Agents

Riot Plans to Add More Agents to VALORANT

Riot Games continues to expand its roster of agents in the popular game VALORANT. In the recent Patch 7.08, the developers made a small but significant change to the agent select screen, allowing room for future agents.

Previously, the agent select screen featured two rows of 11 agents. With the update, it will now display three rows of nine agents, leaving five empty spaces in the third row.

This change indicates that Riot Games has plans to introduce more agents in the future. The first new agent is expected to be released in Episode Seven, Act Three. This agent, with a powerful set of abilities, will increase the total number of agents to 23. However, it seems likely that VALORANT will eventually have at least 27 agents.

Managing a Growing Roster of Agents

Riot Games has been sticking to its release schedule, introducing three new agents within a year. While the number of agents per Episode has decreased over time, players have expressed concern about the potential size of the agent selection pool. They worry that having too many agents could be overwhelming in the long run, despite the well-spaced release schedule.

Despite these concerns, Riot Games remains committed to introducing new agents to VALORANT. Players can look forward to seeing several new faces in the game over the next year.
