Upcoming Buff for Cypher’s Ultimate in VALORANT Patch 7.07
Cypher players in VALORANT have something to look forward to in the upcoming Patch 7.07. A change to Cypher’s ultimate ability, Neural Theft (X), will make it more valuable for gaining information, even if Cypher dies during the cast.
Improvement to Cypher’s Ultimate in Patch 7.07
Included in the Patch 7.07 notes for the Public Beta Environment (PBE) is a “bug fix” for Cypher’s ultimate. This fix actually buffs the ability, allowing it to fully complete and ping all alive enemies twice, even if Cypher dies.
Prior Issues with Cypher’s Ultimate
Previously, Cypher’s Neural Theft was interrupted if he died during the two-second cast when his hat interacted with an enemy corpse. Riot has already fixed a bug in Patch 6.02 that denied the second enemy ping if Cypher died after deploying Neural Theft.
Continuous Improvements to Neural Theft
These recent fixes and improvements come after the major buffs that Neural Theft received in Patch 5.10. The cast distance increased, a second ping was added, silhouettes were improved, and the restriction to cast on enemy corpses was removed.
As a result, Neural Theft has become an even more valuable utility for Cypher players. With the latest fix, players may be more willing to risk their lives to reach an enemy corpse and secure the cast.
However, it’s important for players to be cautious about when to use the ultimate. In a one-vs-x situation, it’s not worth risking the ultimate if it will only lead to death. Additionally, knowing enemy whereabouts in a one-vs-x scenario may not be beneficial if the opposing team has set up an impenetrable crossfire.
Overall, the upcoming buff to Cypher’s ultimate in Patch 7.07 will provide players with more opportunities to gain valuable information, but it should be used strategically to maximize its effectiveness.
