VALORANT’s top player demonstrates the unexpectedly effortless entry role

A Pro Player Makes Entry Fragging Look Easy in VALORANT

When a professional player competes in any game, they have the remarkable ability to make challenging tasks look effortless and do so consistently. This phenomenon is particularly evident in the game of VALORANT, where even the simplest-looking plays can be brilliant.

Zachary “zekken” Patrone, a duelist and entry specialist for Sentinels, is undeniably one of VALORANT’s most exceptional players. With his remarkable mechanical skills and impressive aiming abilities, he confidently secures entry kills for his team. Whether he is playing as Raze or Jett, his talent for creating space and eliminating opponents is incredibly valuable. At just 18 years old, zekken has unlimited potential for further improvement.

zekken is also skilled in initiating plays and has played Sova and KAY/O extensively during his time with XSET. However, during a recent ranked match on the map Ascent, he found himself with only his ultimate ability remaining in a crucial attack round. Instead of overthinking, he decided to turn off his brain.

Starting from Catwalk and moving through A Short, zekken continually hopped, holding his knife out, as he passed through Tree room, A Short door, Generator, and all the way to the boxes leading to Heaven. He even managed to evade a Fade player in the smoke, who fired shots but failed to hit him. Astonishingly, zekken reached the boxes unharmed and secured two headshots. He then proceeded through Window, leaped into Garden, and eliminated an unaware Brimstone, securing a flawless victory for the round.

Even among professional players, zekken made this play look remarkably easy. However, his success was partly due to the Fade player missing all their shots, failing to communicate zekken’s presence to their Sage, and seemingly forgetting about him entirely before turning to hold a walled-off angle. At the end of the clip, you can hear zekken trying to suppress a laugh after the incredible sequence.

Entry fragging is not as easy as zekken makes it seem. Nevertheless, if this strategy is effective in the games played by one of the world’s best players, it might be worth attempting in your Silver ranked matches.
