New divisions and ‘flawless’ rewards to be launched in VALORANT by Premier this month

Premier Launches with Upgrades in VALORANT Episode Seven, Act Two

Riot Games has announced that Premier will officially launch in full with VALORANT Episode Seven, Act Two. This in-game seasonal tournament system has undergone significant upgrades after successful testing phases.

Premier Becomes the Exclusive Path to Challengers

Riot aims to establish Premier as the sole path to Challengers by the end of 2024.

New Division Distribution and Path to Pro

With the full launch, divisions in VALORANT are being consolidated from 20 numbered divisions per region to five categories: Open, Intermediate, Advanced, Elite, and Contender. Players will need to reach Contender rank to access the new path to pro system. This requirement will apply to players competing in Challengers starting in 2024. Contender playoffs will serve as a promotion tournament to reach Challengers, solidifying Premier as the gateway to Challengers and potential VCT opportunities.

Unlock Crests as Trophies

In addition to the satisfaction of achievement, players will have the chance to unlock Crests as rewards. These Crests will represent their best accomplishments in each season.

Flawless Crest and Exciting New Features

Riot is excited to see who will be the first to earn the Flawless Crest, awarded to players on teams that win every possible match in a season and also emerge victorious in the playoffs. Premier will introduce several new features upon release, including live updates on playoff matches and a seven-map pool that includes the returning Breeze and the rumored Sunset map. Players will also have access to practice matches within Premier to prepare for the upcoming week.

Points System for End-of-Season Playoff Bracket

With longer seasons and a wider selection of playable maps, competitive VALORANT teams will need to earn 675 points to qualify for the end-of-season playoff bracket.
