Generous VALORANT Pro Pledges 25 Euros Donation to Charity for Each Kill with a Specific Weapon at VCT LOCK//IN

Team Vitality’s Twisten to Donate to Charity for Shorty Kills at VCT LOCK//IN

Karel “Twisten” Ašenbrener, a Czech player for Team Vitality in VALORANT, has pledged to donate 25 euros to charity for every kill made with the Shorty during the VCT LOCK//IN tournament.

This pledge applies to all 32 teams participating in the tournament in São Paulo, Brazil, and not just Twisten or Vitality, as some fans initially believed. The Shorty is one of the five Sidearms available in VALORANT and is the cheapest purchasable weapon in the game, costing 150 credits. It functions similarly to a shotgun, dealing significant damage at close range but is ineffective at longer distances.

Shorty Statistics in VALORANT

Despite its availability, the Shorty is not a popular weapon choice in VALORANT. According to ValorBuff’s statistics, it accounts for only 0.5 percent of total kills in competitive Radiant VALORANT matches over the past six months.

Players in the Radiant rank prefer to use other Sidearms such as the Ghost, Sheriff, Classic, and Frenzy, which are more effective for long-range engagements. However, there is no data available on the usage of the Shorty in professional VALORANT matches.

Twisten’s Noble Cause

Twisten’s Cloud9 teammate, Anthony “vanity” Malaspina, jokingly suggested that Twisten will go bankrupt due to his commitment, implying that Vanity himself will utilize the Shorty during VCT LOCK//IN. So far, no other professional players have joined Twisten in his charitable cause.
