Early Impressions: VALORANT Players Share their Opinions on Swiftplay

VALORANT Introduces New Game Mode: Swiftplay

Riot Games’ popular competitive game, VALORANT, continues to receive regular updates to keep the gameplay fresh. One of the ways they achieve this is by implementing new game modes to cater to both new and returning players, alongside their focus on the competitive mode. While some game modes have been well-received, others have been removed. However, the latest game mode, Swiftplay, seems to be generating positive feedback and may have a lasting impact on the game.

Early opinions on Swiftplay, shared by players on Reddit, have been favorable. In fact, some players are even requesting that it becomes a permanent feature of the game.

Players have expressed appreciation for the Swiftplay mode, especially those with limited time for gaming due to other responsibilities. They find it refreshing to be able to enjoy a few quick matches while still engaging in objective-based gameplay and honing their skills.

VALORANT is known for its competitive nature, featuring complex mechanics, various maps and agents, and strategic gameplay. However, not all players have the time or energy to invest in learning everything the game has to offer while still having fun. The Swiftplay game mode addresses this issue by providing an accessible and enjoyable experience for players.

Many players have expressed that they appreciate Swiftplay because it allows them to have fun without committing too many hours to the game. It also serves as a useful warm-up option while waiting for friends to join their group. Unlike ranked play, Swiftplay does not affect a player’s ranking, and the objective is to win five rounds.

Teams switch sides every fourth round in Swiftplay, and players earn mode credits after each round to account for the shorter game time.

While some argue that Swiftplay is redundant since Unrated mode already caters to casual players, its faster pace sets it apart. Whether Riot Games will make it a permanent game mode in the future remains uncertain.
