Disguised Toast aims to avoid crypto sponsors for his esports organization

Disguised Toast’s Esports Team Undefeated in VALORANT Challengers League Qualifier

Disguised Toast’s esports team has made an impressive start in the NA VALORANT Challengers League open qualifier. Despite facing initial challenges with naming and player recruitment, the team has remained undefeated.

However, like any organization, the real challenge lies in long-term sustainability. Disguised Toast, a popular streamer and OfflineTV member, is not interested in relying on cryptocurrency for financial support, as many organizations do.

In an episode of “The Wisemen,” Disguised Toast expressed his intention to avoid cryptocurrency. He believes that accepting crypto money and promoting it to fans, only to disassociate from it when its value declines, is unethical. He doesn’t want to mislead his young fan base into investing in a volatile currency.

Disguised Toast emphasized that crypto sponsorship is not the same as endorsing regular consumer products. He wants to protect his fans from potential losses and regrets caused by cryptocurrency crashes.

If Disguised Toast’s esports organization had emerged during the crypto boom period of the COVID-19 pandemic two years ago, his perspective might have been different. However, recent events, such as bankruptcy of LCS and TSM sponsor FTX, the iShowSpeed crypto scandal, and incidents in VALORANT where players throw matches after placing bets on crypto sites, have negatively impacted the reputation of crypto in esports.

Disguised Toast’s VALORANT team will make its debut in the NA Challengers on Feb. 1. We will soon find out which sponsors he has brought on board.
