VALORANT professional players continue to face ‘trolling’ in ranked matches long after crypto-betting accusations

Former Fortnite Pro benjyfishy Raises Concerns about Competitive Matches in VALORANT

Benjy “benjyfishy” Fish, a former professional Fortnite player who now plays VALORANT, is the latest pro to express dissatisfaction with the current state of competitive matches in Riot Games’ popular FPS.

Pro Player Benjyfishy Speaks Out Against Trolling in VALORANT Matches

On Twitter, a German professional player complained about two players, ZZZ Aphun#laura and S1 Shakie#666, intentionally ruining one of his competitive matches in VALORANT. Benjyfishy joined the conversation and revealed that he has been having issues with the same player for several months.

Benjyfishy tweeted, “Aphun has been trolling my games for months. Despite claiming otherwise, he consistently only manages to get a maximum of 3 kills per game. It’s disheartening to see that this is still happening.”

Concerns Over Match Manipulation for Crypto-Betting Websites

Aphun, who describes himself on Twitter as an in-game leader or flex player willing to play VALORANT full-time, has not responded to the accusations made by qrizlyy or benjyfishy. Benjyfishy, on the other hand, competes for Enterprise Esports, a team currently ranked 42nd in Europe according to VLR.gg.

In recent weeks, the VALORANT professional scene has been in an uproar after discovering that some players deliberately throw ranked matches to manipulate results for crypto-betting sites. It is unclear whether Aphun is one of these players using trolling tactics to earn money from these websites.

Riot’s Response and Streamers’ Countermeasures

To maintain the competitive integrity of VALORANT, Riot will likely need to take action against these websites. So far, the company has remained silent on the matter. In response, streamers like Tarik are considering creating private groups for competitive matches to avoid being matched with individuals involved in match-fixing.
