Professional Teams Shroud Has Played For

Michael “shroud” Grzesiek: From Pro Player to Gaming Content Creator

Michael “shroud” Grzesiek, a former professional player in both CS:GO and VALORANT, has become one of the most popular gaming content creators worldwide.

During his time in the CS:GO scene, shroud gained fame for his aggressive and captivating style of play. As a professional, he achieved deep tournament runs and even won trophies along the way.

In July 2017, shroud decided to step down from Cloud9’s active roster after being with the organization for three years. He then transitioned into a full-time streamer for the team and continued in that role until April 2018.

After spending four years creating various gaming content, shroud returned to the professional scene by joining Sentinels’ VALORANT division. However, after failing to qualify for the VALORANT Champions in 2022, he was removed from the roster and once again focused on streaming.

Nevertheless, shroud remains one of the most prominent figures in the esports industry. With his experience representing multiple organizations in two major esports titles, he has made his mark on North American esports history.

The future for shroud is uncertain. After parting ways with Sentinels in August 2022, the 28-year-old stated that “the story is not over, it’s just on pause right now.” He expressed his desire to continue competing but has yet to find a new team. This suggests that there is a good chance we will see shroud back in competitive gaming in the near future.
