Vitality and VALORANT player LoWkii mutually part ways

Vitality Drops LoWkii from VALORANT Lineup

Vitality has made the decision to release Théo “LoWkii” Téchené from its active VALORANT lineup. This leaves the team with just four players: Bayram “bramz” Ben Redjeb, Jokūbas “ceNder” Labutis, Vakaris “vakk” Bebravičius, and stand-in Mohamed Shalaby for EU VCT: Stage Three Challengers Two.

The roster change was announced by the French organization today, following Vitality’s loss to Team Liquid and Team BDS in the EU VCT: Stage Three Challengers Two. This loss resulted in Vitality missing the opportunity to qualify for the Challengers Playoffs. In response to the elimination, the organization has added a new manager, Robin “Srab” Borget, and the coaching staff is diligently working on the future of the VALORANT team.

LoWkii’s Departure and Future Plans

LoWkii had been playing for Vitality since March 2021, but he will now be taking a break and spending time with his family in the coming weeks. He mentioned on Twitter that he is open to new opportunities for a future project.

What’s Next for Vitality?

It remains uncertain whether Vitality will make additional player changes or sign Shalaby permanently after his stint as a stand-in. Since entering VALORANT’s professional scene in February 2021, the French organization has yet to achieve significant results in the VCT, with only a few minor event wins under their belt.
