NRG’s VALORANT Team Establishes Roles and Moves Forward with Stable Foundation

NRG’s VALORANT Roster Finds the Perfect Balance With New Additions

The esports scene of VALORANT may be young, but it has attracted experienced players from CS:GO and Overwatch who are looking for new opportunities. NRG, one of the prominent teams in North America, recently made additions to its VALORANT lineup, and it seems they have finally found the right balance to compete at the highest level.

Experienced Players Fill Key Roles

NRG signed Ryan “Shanks” Ngo and Gage “Infinite” Green last month to strengthen their VALORANT roster. Infinite, who comes from a background in CS:GO, brings valuable experience to the team. Although he may not have been part of any legendary teams, his years of experience make him a valuable asset for NRG.

Infinite’s CS:GO Experience Makes a Difference

NRG’s decision to pick up Infinite was influenced by his performance in CS:GO. Chet Singh, the head coach of NRG, mentioned that Infinite’s familiarity with the game was a crucial factor in their decision. Having a player with experience in CS:GO allows NRG to benefit from the knowledge and skills that come from playing at a high level.

New Roles and Dedicated Players

NRG also needed players who could fill specific roles, and Infinite and Shanks fit those roles perfectly. Infinite takes on the sentinel role, while Shanks handles the Jett and Operator positions. This stability in positions allows the team to focus on strategy development and progression rather than constantly adjusting roles.

NRG went through a rigorous selection process and tried out numerous players to find the right fit. While the team acknowledges that some members are still developing their communication skills, they have been working on improving teamwork and ensuring effective communication.

With their new lineup, NRG believes they have the potential to challenge other top teams in North America, such as 100 Thieves and TSM. The team understands the importance of consistency and the need for each player to take responsibility and rely on their teammates.

The VALORANT Champions Tour is underway, and NRG is focused on their own performance to be prepared for any challenges they face. They aim to establish themselves as a powerhouse in the North American region.
