Omen Faces Glitch in VALORANT: Shrouded Step Hits Walls
Team Heretics’ Auni “AvovA” Chahade has uncovered a game-breaking glitch in VALORANT that affects Omen’s ability to use Shrouded Step properly. If Omen is too close to a wall, the teleportation ability becomes ineffective. The Riot developers have responded to this issue and assured that they will address it soon.
Confirmed Bug: Shrouded Step Hits Walls
conducted tests to verify the glitch and found that Shrouded Step’s hitbox is too large. As a result, the teleportation ability collides with nearby walls even if the crosshair is aimed elsewhere. This bug interrupts Omen’s gameplay and is considered a significant problem.
Potential Agent Disablement in Response
Omen is widely regarded as the most popular controller in the game, utilizing teleportation to reposition and ambush opponents. However, due to this game-breaking bug, Riot may have to disable Omen until the issue is resolved.
Additional Omen Bugs Found
In addition to the Shrouded Step glitch, another bug has been discovered involving Omen. Some players are able to see through walls while attempting to use his smokes across the map. This unintended advantage exposes opponents, which is against the intended mechanics of the game.
The recent 2.0 patch brought several changes to Omen, including an increase in the price of his ability Paranoia and a decrease in the projectile speed of Dark Cover. With these adjustments and the buffs to Brimstone, Omen’s status as a staple smoker may be threatened.
