Discovering Effective One-Way Smoke Tactic on Icebox in VALORANT
VALORANT players are still exploring the different ways to utilize their abilities for taking or defending sites on Icebox, the latest map introduced to the game. Recently, one player found an effective one-way smoke on B site using Cypher’s Cyber Cage to assist defenders when used correctly.
A one-way smoke allows players to spot enemies without being seen, granting defenders the advantage of eliminating enemies with ease. This strategy proves useful in various situations.
Players have discovered one-way smokes by utilizing Cypher’s Cyber Cage on most maps. Now, a player has highlighted a new spot where a one-way smoke can be created on B site of Icebox. To execute this tactic, Cypher players should position themselves on the edge of the second-floor area in B site. From there, they need to throw the Cypher Cage between two storage crates on the opposite side of B Yellow.
If executed correctly, defenders will be able to see enemies approaching the site while remaining in cover. However, enemies can still shoot through the smoke, so prepare for incoming fire. The one-way smoke alone may not be sufficient to stop a full team, so it should be combined with Cypher’s other abilities to keep the enemies at bay.
Icebox is not the most popular map in VALORANT due to its design. While some players appreciate the vertical elements of the map, others prefer the traditional layouts of other maps.
