Three Team Liquid Players Achieve Unprecedented Dota 2 Record for Most Games Played Together, Unlikely to be Surpassed

Team Liquid’s Dota 2 Trio Sets Unbreakable Record

Team Liquid may not have emerged victorious in The International 2023, but their core players Boxi, iNSaNiA, and miCKe have secured a place in Dota 2 history with a record that is likely to stand for years to come.

During their match against Talon Esports in the upper bracket quarterfinals, the trio reached a milestone, playing their 1,119th game together. This matched the previous record held by Team Nigma’s GH, KuroKy, and MinD_ContRoL.

But their journey didn’t stop there. Despite their loss to Gaimin Gladiators in the lower bracket quarterfinals and subsequent elimination, they went on to surpass the record and finish with a total of 1,125 games played together.

However, their win-loss ratio is not as impressive. Out of the 1,125 games played, they achieved 624 wins and 501 losses, according to data from datdota. This falls short of Team Nigma’s trio, who boast 670 wins and 449 losses. Nevertheless, their achievement remains significant.

The Nigma lineup also occupies the third, fourth, and fifth positions in the record books, highlighting their longevity. The closest challengers are the legendary Alliance trio of Akke, AdmiralBulldog, and Loda, followed by 9pasha, Noone, and Solo from Virtus.Pro.

Although Team Liquid’s performance at TI 2023 may have left them disappointed with a fifth-place finish, it is possible that Boxi, iNSaNiA, and miCKe will continue playing together for another season or more. If this happens, their record could stand unbeaten for a considerable amount of time, if not forever.

However, they may never be able to bridge the gap to the duo record. iNSaNiA and miCKe have played the most games together within the trio, totaling 1,219, but still fall short of the astounding 1,755 games played by the Chinese duo BoBoKa and Xxs.
