Honkai’s Star Rail sponsors two teams at Dota 2’s TI 2023—Claim complimentary rewards for all!

Chinese Dota 2 Teams LGD Gaming and Azure Ray Get Sponsorship Boost from Honkai: Star Rail

Only two teams from China will be representing the region at The International 2023, following a lackluster season in Chinese Dota 2. LGD Gaming and Azure Ray will now aim to dominate the competition, while also bringing exciting rewards to millions of Honkai: Star Rail players worldwide.

Honkai: Star Rail Sponsors LGD Gaming and Azure Ray at TI12

The official LGD Weibo account has announced that miHoYo, the creators of Honkai: Star Rail, will be sponsoring LGD Gaming and Azure Ray at TI12. The sponsorship includes a range of bonuses for players of the Space Fantasy RPG, depending on the performance of the teams at Dota 2’s biggest event.

According to a tweet by CN Dota In A Nutshell, Honkai: Star Rail will reward trailblazers with extra stellar jade on October 31st, based on the teams’ performance at TI12. The higher LGD Gaming and Azure Ray place in the tournament, the greater the rewards for Honkai players.

Rewards for Honkai Players Based on Team Performance at TI12

miHoYo stated on Weibo, “Honkai: Star Rail will support LGD and AR at TI12. We wish these teams will show off their skills in this tournament without any regrets!” The company has confirmed that if LGD and Azure Ray place outside of the bottom four, every Honkai player will receive free Stellar Jade. The amount of Stellar Jade given out will increase as the Chinese teams climb up the standings.

Market Boost for Honkai: Star Rail and Valve as TI12 Begins

This sponsorship not only aims to support the teams but also serves as a marketing opportunity for miHoYo, as the company plans to launch Honkai: Star Rail version 1.4 and new content on October 11th, just before TI12 begins. Additionally, Valve may benefit from the partnership, as Honkai players interested in the sponsorship might tune into the event to support the Chinese teams.

While it is unclear if there will be additional branded content at TI12 or if the rewards stack, Honkai players can expect a bonus for watching the tournament from home.

It’s time to gear up as only two Chinese teams have made it to The International 2023 – LGD Gaming and Azure Ray. These teams have received a major boost from their surprise title sponsor, Honkai: Star Rail, and will be competing at TI12. The sponsor, miHoYo, will be rewarding players of the Space Fantasy RPG based on the performance of LGD Gaming and Azure Ray at the tournament. If these teams place outside of the bottom four, Honkai players will receive free Stellar Jade. The rewards will increase as the Chinese teams climb up the standings. This partnership between Honkai: Star Rail and the Chinese Dota 2 teams not only benefits both parties but also provides a marketing opportunity. Honkai: Star Rail will be launching version 1.4 and new content just before TI12, attracting attention from both Honkai players and Dota 2 fans. With a large crossover between the two games, the partnership is sure to generate interest and potentially increase viewership for Valve’s event. Whether there will be additional branded content or if the rewards will stack is yet to be confirmed, but one thing is for certain – Honkai players watching TI12 can expect some exciting bonuses.
