Dyrachyo states Gaimin Gladiators are prepared to give their best at TI12 following a exhausting Dota 2 season

Gaimin Gladiators Faces First LAN Loss at Riyadh Masters 2023

Gaimin Gladiators, a dominant force in this season’s Dota 2 Pro Circuit, suffered their first LAN loss at Riyadh Masters 2023. Despite this setback, star carry player Dyrachyo states that the team is ready to bounce back and give their best at The International in October.

During Riyadh Masters, Gaimin failed to reach the grand finals for the first time this season, finishing in fourth place after losing to Talon Esports. In an interview with Escorenews, Dyrachyo explained that the team’s exhausting schedule and lack of time to practice Dota before the event due to visa issues were major factors in their defeat.

According to Dyrachyo, the intense games and multiple comebacks in the playoffs took a toll on the team’s energy and mental state. However, they are now recharged and ready for The International 2023.

Dyrachyo revealed that the team realized certain hero choices weren’t effective and they made mistakes before the playoffs. Despite these setbacks, they still finished fourth, earning $1.2 million USD.

After returning from Riyadh Masters, the team took most of August off to rest before a busy event schedule in September and The International 2023. Dyrachyo states that the team is now refreshed and eager to compete.

Looking Ahead: BetBoom Dacha, DreamLeague Season 21, and TI12

Gaimin is now entering a three-event stretch to end the 2023 season. The team will participate in BetBoom Dacha from Sept. 10 to 16, DreamLeague Season 21 from Sept. 18 to 21, and TI12 from Oct. 12 to 29.

Dyrachyo considers BetBoom Dacha as a “transitional tournament” for them to regain their form after the break. The team has been warming up by playing around three games a day to shift from a relaxed to a competitive mindset.

Once DreamLeague concludes, the team plans to have a boot camp in Serbia before heading to Seattle for TI. Dyrachyo is confident that Gaimin will enter the tournament as the favorites and in peak condition.

Dyrachyo believes that Gaimin’s success and ability to avoid burnout throughout the year are due to their positive mentality, lack of pressure, and team camaraderie. They remain comfortable and focused, which has helped them maintain their competitive edge.

Despite their recent loss, Gaimin Gladiators are determined to achieve their goal of winning every tournament this year. The team is ready to give their best in the upcoming events and prove themselves.
