Team Secret Faces Challenges in 2023 Season, Adds Fbz to Roster

The year hasn’t been easy for Team Secret as they were relegated to division two for the second time. To salvage their season and qualify for The International, Secret has brought in Saieful “Fbz” Ilham, a player from Southeast Asia.

Fbz joins Secret on loan from BOOM Esports, another top-performing team in 2022 facing challenges in 2023. Both Secret and BOOM Esports have been relegated to the second division in their regional leagues, putting them in similar positions in the DPC.

Throughout the Dota Pro Circuit, Secret has been experimenting with new team members in search of a winning formula. Despite glimpses of hope, Secret has struggled to maintain consistency, making it difficult for them to qualify for TI12.

Secret’s challenges also put Puppey’s remarkable competitive record in jeopardy. He has been the only player to attend all TIs, but missing TI12 would mark the end of this record. Puppey aims to defy the odds and secure a spot in the qualifiers, keeping his all-time streak alive.

Despite Secret’s current position, fans had high hopes for them to secure their first TI victory in 2023. Puppey remains confident and claims that everyone will be shocked if he manages to pull off a near-impossible run to TI and continue his winning streak in Seattle.
