OG Dota 2 Secures Spot in Berlin Major Despite Season-Long Challenges

OG’s Dota 2 Team Makes Remarkable Comeback to Secure Berlin Major Seat

OG’s Dota 2 team has achieved an incredible comeback after a challenging season in the Dota Pro Circuit, securing a last-minute seat at the Berlin Major.

Despite struggling in the relegation zone throughout the season, OG turned their fortunes around in the final two days.

OG’s Cinderella run began with a crucial win against Entity, forcing a tiebreaker for fourth place against Ooredoo Thunders (OT). In a nail-biting series, OG emerged victorious with a score of 2-1, ending the second tour on a high note.

If Entity had defeated OG, OT would have finished the season in fourth place, and OG would have been relegated to the second division. However, the turn of events fell in OG’s favor, leaving OT just one step away from glory.

OG has a long history of Cinderella stories, with their 2018 Dota 2 roster winning the International after going through the Open Qualifiers. This impressive run adds another page to OG’s comeback stories, but there is still work to be done for the current roster to make up for the subpar season.

After spending the majority of the season at the bottom of the rankings, OG became the center of attention on April Fools’ Day when news of Old G taking over their spot surfaced. As the news spread to the top page of the Dota 2 subreddit, doubts arose among fans, which may have fueled OG’s determination to survive.
