BetBoom responds to criticism from Dota 2 pros regarding underwhelming performance at Lima Major

BetBoom’s Disappointing Performance at The Lima Major

BetBoom had high hopes going into The Lima Major. Their new roster showed promise, dominating the competition in the Eastern European branch of the Dota Pro Circuit 2023 Winter Tour. With their strong cohesion and strategy, they were expected to be among the favorites to win the tournament.

However, things took a turn for the worse as they finished second to last in Group B during the group stage. This came as a shock to many, considering their previous success.

Criticism from other players soon followed. Kiyotaka from HellRaisers accused BetBoom of playing “semi-AFK Dota” and claimed it was easy to counter their strategies. Dyrachyo from Gaimin Gladiators even questioned if something was wrong with the team, as they were outperformed by the less star-studded team of Geek Slate.

In response, BetBoom acknowledged their disappointment but also defended themselves. They emphasized that despite their strong lineup, they are still a new team trying to find their footing. They believe that their best performances are yet to come.

Cenra, the operational director of BetBoom, expressed his belief that the team’s performance would improve as the season progresses. He acknowledged that there may be excuses, but ultimately, they need to show the strong performance expected from them.

TORONTOTOKYO, the TI-winning star of BetBoom, also addressed their poor performance. He stated that there were various reasons for it, but internal drama was not one of them.

Instead, TORONTOTOKYO attributed their performance to how they played. He admitted that the result was unpleasant, but viewed it as a learning experience and emphasized the need for them to work even harder to reach their full potential.
