Arteezy and EternaLEnVy’s Mentorship Played Crucial Role in TORONTOTOKYO’s Development, Dota 2 Pro Reveals

Aleksander “TORONTOTOKYO” Khertek: How Arteezy and EternaLEnVy Shaped My Journey in Dota 2

Aleksander “TORONTOTOKYO” Khertek, known for his remarkable performance in winning The International 10 with Team Spirit in 2021, attributes his success to the influence of two legendary players in the Dota 2 scene.

The Russian powerhouse, who recently joined BetBoom after his departure from Team Spirit, expressed his gratitude towards Artour “Arteezy” Babaev and Jacky “EternaLEnVy” Mao for their significant impact on his growth as a player.

“For me, it probably was Arteezy and EternaLEnVy [who influenced me the most],” TORONTOTOKYO shared in an interview with OVAA MEDIA. “They were the first players who started streaming a lot.”

Watching the iconic streams of Arteezy and EternaLEnVy provided TORONTOTOKYO with a substantial boost in his performance. As the first players he observed, their knowledge and clutch plays played a pivotal role in the development of not only TORONTOTOKYO but also many other aspiring players.

TORONTOTOKYO advises aspiring players to follow in his footsteps. He emphasizes the importance of watching professional players, as it serves as nourishment for the brain. Additionally, he highlights the significance of playing a lot, engaging in critical thinking during matches, and prioritizing one’s health.

Although TORONTOTOKYO did not explicitly mention it, the influence of OG legends Sébastien “Ceb” Debs and Johan “N0tail” Sundstein in terms of trash-talking also played a part in shaping his playstyle.

With his new journey alongside BetBoom, TORONTOTOKYO shows no signs of slowing down.

“I think fans love these things,” he stated. “I did it to hype up matches. But you should do it the right way. Don’t offend each other, have respect.” This approach reflects the way he and his predecessors used to engage in friendly banter.
