Cr1t urges Dota 2 players to unite against cheaters, smurfs, and boosters following recent Valve ban wave

Virtus Pro Player Permanently Banned for Impersonation in Open Qualifiers

Kamil “Koma`” Biktimirov, a player for Virtus Pro, has been permanently banned from all PGL and Valve events after being caught impersonating others and secretly playing for their teams in the Open Qualifiers.

After the ban was announced, Koma admitted his mistake, stating that he played an official match with another account based on the persuasions he received. He then requested a reduced sentence. However, this plea did not sit well with the community and has sparked discussions among professionals and fans.

Pro Player Andreas “Cr1t” Nielsen Supports the Ban

Andreas “Cr1t” Nielsen, a member of the Shopify Rebellion team, shared his thoughts on the ban during a stream on Dec. 20, expressing his strong support for removing players like Koma permanently.

When asked about his opinion on the ban, Cr1t said, “I think it’s great. Account sharing, smurfs, account buying, all sorts of secondary accounts. Get them the fuck out of Dota. I think it’s great. It’s my honest opinion.”

Cr1t’s frustration with offenders runs deep. In a video, he expressed his exasperation with smurfs, account sharers, and boosters in the gaming scene, even in unofficial games. While he is more accepting of pro players using smurfs due to difficulty finding matches based on their high MMR, he still deems it “stupid” and does not endorse it.

“There was a time where you needed to smurf because you literally could not find games, but not anymore,” he explained. “I don’t think so, personally. This is a very personal take.”

However, when it comes to account sharers like Koma, Cr1t believes there is no excuse for such behavior.
