Legendary Dota Captain Solo Makes Triumphant Return to Lead HellRaisers, Sets New Record With 322-Year Competing Streak

New Roster, New Beginnings for HellRaisers in Dota 2 Eastern European Dota 2

2022 has been a challenging year for the Eastern European Dota 2 region. The DPC action was put on hold due to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, leading to multiple teams having to relocate. One of those teams, HellRaisers (HR), found itself fighting for playoff spots and battling against relegation.

Although HR was relegated to the second division, they quickly made a comeback to division one. Now, the organization is seizing the opportunity with a fresh roster led by Alexey “Solo” Berezin.

Solo will be joined by Nikita “Daxak” Kuzmin, Gleb “depressed kid” Zyryanov, and Vladislav “Antares” Kertman, as announced by the organization today. While HR brings in four new players to the roster, they have decided to retain Matvey “MieRo'” Vasyunin, offering him an opportunity to develop his skills under the guidance of one of the most successful captains in the EEU.

The roster not only showcases the strength of this EEU stack, but also highlights Solo’s determination to continue competing. At 32 years old, Solo has achieved numerous LAN event victories, including majors, between 2015 and 2018. His consistency becomes even more admirable considering his career was almost derailed before it even began due to the notorious 322 incident.

Solo recently concluded a heated season with NAVI, while Daxak transitions to the HR roster after an impressive performance with BetBoom Team at The International 2022. With their experience, Solo and Daxak will serve as the veteran core of HR, upon whom youngsters like depressed kid and Antares will rely.

With Solo and Daxak’s experience, HR appears to have a promising formula on paper that can thrive with the right chemistry. While Solo’s leadership skills may not be everyone’s preference, when paired with the right players, it can pave the way for major victories—and his Liquipedia page is a testament to that.

As HellRaisers embarks on a new journey with this revamped roster, the Dota 2 community eagerly awaits their performance in the upcoming season.
