PSG.LGD’s Dota 2 Team Sees Changes: Faith_Bian and XinQ Leave Ahead of 2023 DPC Season

PSG.LGD Roster Shuffle: Faith_Bian Retires, XinQ Departs

The roster shuffle season is a time when teams all around the world look for the winning formula that will bring them success in the upcoming competitive season of Dota 2. Despite being a top team since 2020, PSG.LGD faced difficulties at The International 2022, leading to departures. Faith_Bian announced his retirement during the event, leaving a void in the team.

LGD faced another departure as they bid farewell to XinQ, their long-time position four-player. With the roster lock date for the 2023 DPC season just a week away, LGD needs to fill these two gaps in the roster before Dec. 9. It is crucial for them to defend their domestic throne after a disappointing performance at TI11.

LGD had high expectations as a top contender, especially after being the runner-up in the last two TIs. However, they fell short before reaching the final four, losing to their local rival, Team Aster.

During the DPC season leading up to TI11, Aster was consistently one step behind LGD, performing relatively better in LAN events. But at TI11, the tables turned, prompting LGD to make further changes in addition to finding a replacement for the retiring Faith_Bian.

The future of XinQ and LGD remains uncertain at this time. However, with the roster lock date approaching, more announcements are expected. As for Faith_Bian, he will enjoy the retired life in the 2023 DPC season.
