Blood eSports Enters Dota 2 with New Team Scout
Blood eSports has officially announced its entry into the competitive Dota 2 scene. The organization has hired analyst and caster Sean “Hades” Goh to lead its scouting efforts for the 2023 Dota Pro Circuit.
Bleed Expands Into Dota Space
This move shows that Bleed is actively searching for talent in the Dota space and aims to create a roster to compete in the game for the first time. Bleed currently focuses on its VALORANT division, which formed in September 2021, and has also recently signed a Naraka: Bladepoint team.
Potential Partnership with T1
Reports suggest that Bleed is in talks with T1, a larger organization, to acquire T1’s Division I slot in the Southeast Asian DPC regional league. If successful, this would allow Bleed’s new roster to skip open qualifiers and compete directly for a spot at the first Major of the 2023 DPC season.
T1’s Uncertain Future
T1 recently parted ways with their former captain Kuku and teammates Whitemon and Xepher. The team had a disappointing performance in the 2022 DPC season, failing to qualify for TI11. Rumors also suggest that Topson may be returning to Europe. It remains uncertain if T1 will continue in Dota or take a step back in the next season.
Should Bleed not acquire T1’s Division I slot, they will have around a month to assemble a five-man roster for the open and closed qualifiers scheduled from December 11 to 15.
