A Guide to the Teamfight Tactics Ranking System
In Teamfight Tactics, there are nine tiers with four levels in each tier. Players start from the Iron tier and work their way up to Challenger, the highest rank.
Let’s Talk About Ranked Seasons
Unlike in League of Legends, ranked seasons in Teamfight Tactics are shorter and happen every few months. Each ranked season is tied to a Set, which introduces new units and mechanics to the game.
What About Promotions in Teamfight Tactics?
Instead of promotion series, players in Teamfight Tactics move up to the next division immediately after collecting 100 League Points. Finishing in the top four places rewards League Points, while finishing fifth or lower does not give any points.
Rules of Demotions and Decays
Decay only applies to Master, Grandmaster, and Challenger divisions and requires players to play a certain number of games to avoid losing League Points. Demotion only occurs if a player has zero League Points and loses matches with a low MMR.
What About Rewards for the Best Players at the End of Teamfight Tactics Ranked Season?
To be eligible for rewards, players must finish the season at least in the Gold tier. Rewards include emotes and Little Legends.
