‘EternaLEnVy commends Sneyking’s unwavering commitment to Dota 2 despite adversity’

From Rejection to Triumph: The Inspiring Journey of Dota 2 Player Sneyking

Winning the Aegis of Champions doesn’t always require a star player. Sometimes, it’s dedication and hard work that lead to victory. Sneyking, a 27-year-old professional Dota 2 player, is a perfect example of this.

EternaLEnVy recently discussed Sneyking’s journey on a stream, expressing his admiration for the TI champion’s determination. Throughout his career, Sneyking faced multiple rejections from the Dota 2 scene.

EternaLEnVy said, “He’s one of the most inspirational people I’ve ever met. The guy gets kicked from the same team several times and rejoins them with no ego. He even got kicked from PotM Bottom, and almost got kicked from every team he’s been in, all the time, but he kept up the hard work.”

Sneyking’s Liquipedia page reveals that he has been a part of 26 teams in the last 10 years, averaging at least two team switches per year. Most of these roster moves were not by choice. Despite the constant setbacks, Sneyking never lost his motivation. There were instances where he returned to playing for teams that had recently kicked him out.

After seven years of perseverance, Sneyking made history by becoming the first American player to win a TI at the age of 27 and a half. He also holds the record for being the oldest player to win a TI.

Sneyking’s journey embodies the saying, “if at first, you don’t succeed, try, try, and try again.” While he reached his peak towards the later stage of his career, winning TI11 marks a new beginning for this NA veteran. He may follow in the footsteps of OG and go for that second title, just like they did in 2019.
