The International 2022 Announces Exciting Additions, Including a Cave Johnson Announcer Pack

Valve has made early announcements for The International 2022, and fans have a lot to look forward to. The tournament has moved to a larger stadium to accommodate a bigger crowd, and there’s more in store for Dota 2 fans, including the addition of a Cave Johnson announcer pack voiced by the legendary J. K. Simmons.

J. K. Simmons, known for his role as J. Jonah Jameson in the Spider-Man movies and games, will also be lending his iconic voice to Dota 2. In the Portal series, Simmons voiced Cave Johnson, the main antagonist as the founder of Aperture Science.

The Unveiling of the Cave Johnson Announcer Pack

The teaser for the announcement began with footage from four years ago, showing Kaci Aitchison and Slacks recording a joint announcer pack with Gabe Newell. However, they pass out after realizing they are locked in the studio and wake up in the present day to discover their announcer pack was scrapped.

Valve’s Future Plans for the Battle Pass

Gabe Newell was unaware of the situation as his assistant, G-Money, who was handling the project, was no longer with them. However, G-Money managed to bring in Simmons for the Cave Johnson announcer pack. This is just the beginning, as Valve has more surprises planned for the second part of the battle pass, including a new terrain and details about the upcoming Diretide event.

Despite facing criticism and production errors, Valve is determined to extend the spirit of The International throughout the year. With these exciting additions, both veteran and new players can look forward to an enhanced Dota experience.
