3 Potential Players for 100 Thieves in VCT 2023

North American esports organization 100 Thieves was in talks to sign several players during the VALORANT offseason, but the deals ultimately fell through, according to multiple sources.

The most notable potential signing was Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker. 100 Thieves had considered signing yay as their top target, but negotiations between the player and the organization did not result in a deal. Ultimately, yay chose to join Cloud9 instead.

There were discussions about potentially replacing in-game leader Brenden “stellar” McGrath, but 100 Thieves was unable to secure a deal for a replacement player. One option they considered was Pujan “FNS” Mehta, but an agreement could not be reached. FNS ultimately joined NRG, his preferred choice.

FNS, who previously played for OpTic, would have reunited with yay if the deal had gone through. However, yay went on to join Cloud9, while Jordan “Zellsis” Montemurro, who was highly sought after during the offseason, chose to team up with yay.

There was also consideration given to LOUD’s in-game leader Matias “saadhak” Delipetro, but 100 Thieves ultimately decided to stick with stellar. The organization did not have advanced discussions with saadhak. Saadhak remained with LOUD, while two of his former teammates, Bryan “pancada” Luna and Gustavo “Sacy” Rossi, joined Sentinels.

100 Thieves will be competing in the Americas league next year alongside other popular organizations in the region, including Sentinels and NRG.
