Astralis and Virtus Pro compete for $250,000 in ELEAGUE showdown

Legendary CS:GO Rosters Face Off in $250,000 Showmatch

Two of the most well-known teams in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive are set to compete in a winner-takes-all showmatch with a prize pool of $250,000.

The clash is between Virtus Pro and Astralis, who recently had a close three-game series in the grand finals of the ELEAGUE Major on Jan. 29. Although Astralis emerged as the champions, Virtus Pro now has a chance for revenge in the upcoming “Clash for Cash” match on June 16.

The grand finals between these two teams during the ELEAGUE Major were incredibly intense. Astralis managed to stage a miraculous comeback in the deciding third map of the series. The live broadcast of the event attracted over 1 million unique viewers, making it the most-watched Valve Major final ever.

Since their appearance in the ELEAGUE Major grand finals, Astralis has continued to find success. They won the IEM XI World Championship in Katowice on March 5 and secured a second-place finish at StarSeries Season 3 against FaZe Clan. On the other hand, Virtus Pro’s success has been diminishing in recent months. They have only managed to achieve one impressive result since the ELEAGUE Major, winning the DreamHack Masters Las Vegas on Feb. 19.

The “Clash for Cash” showmatch will be broadcast live on TBS, Twitch, and YouTube at 10pm EDT (7pm PDT). Don’t miss out on witnessing which of these two legendary squads takes home one of the largest prize pools in CS:GO history!
