Rocket League introduces the Ford Bronco Raptor RLE to its fleet of vehicles

Rocket League Adds Ford Bronco Raptor RLE to Lineup

Rocket League is introducing a new car to its roster with the addition of the Ford Bronco Raptor RLE. Players can get their hands on this new vehicle by purchasing the in-game bundle, which includes the car itself, engine audio wheels, decal, and player banner. The bundle will be available for a limited time from Aug. 4 to Aug. 16 and can be purchased for 1,100 credits. For eager fans, the bundle will launch at 11am CT on Aug. 4.

New Car Controversy and Ford-Sponsored Event

However, the new addition is not without its controversies. The Ford Bronco Raptor RLE will have the Merc hitbox, which has drawn criticism from some fans on social media. Due to its large, boxy frame, many players find the car to be bulky and unwieldy. Despite having one of the tallest hitboxes in the game, its wide nature is a turn-off for many.

In addition to the car, esports enthusiasts can look forward to the Freestyle International event hosted by Ford and Rocket League. Starting on Aug. 2, the top 12 Freestylers from the tournament will compete for a chance to be invited to the Rocket League World Championship held in Fort Worth, Texas. The event offers a prize pool of $100,000, with the top two scoring players earning a spot in the championship and the opportunity to compete in front of a live audience.

Rocket League World Championship Returns in August

The Rocket League World Championship, sponsored by Ford, will take place from Aug. 4 to 14. This highly anticipated tournament will feature 24 teams from around the world. It marks the first time since 2019 that the championship has returned to a single venue, as the 2020 and 2021 tournaments were held regionally due to the pandemic.
