Nightfall has the highest KDA among all players at TI11.

Evil Geniuses Qualifies for TI11 Main Stage as the First Team

TI11 has brought us some incredible Dota 2 matches and the group stages are still ongoing. This year, qualifying for the main stage is proving to be more challenging than ever due to the evenly matched teams. However, one team has managed to rise above the rest and secure their spot in the main stage: Evil Geniuses, the former champions of TI5.

While every member of the current EG lineup has been performing exceptionally, the addition of their new offlaner, Egor Grigorenko (Nightfall), seems to have propelled them to new heights. Nightfall, who previously played as a carry for Virtus.Pro, joined Evil Geniuses after TI10 and showcased his exceptional skills with various heroes, particularly his carry Dawnbreaker, which holds the record for the highest kills in a professional game (27 kills).

Nightfall’s performance as the offlaner for Evil Geniuses has been impressive, surpassing other carry players in the group stage. He leads the rankings in terms of K/D/A stats, followed by skiter, Nine, and 33 from Tundra, as well as his own teammate Abed.

This outstanding performance can be attributed to Nightfall’s individual skill and the support of his teammates, who encourage his aggressive playstyle and can match his tempo in making impactful plays. His aggressive approach adds pressure on the map and creates space for his carry, Arteezy, who effectively balances teamfighting and farming.

Evil Geniuses has always been a dominant force in the world of Dota 2. While they were previously praised during the TI5 era with Sumail and Universe in their lineup, it appears that they are making a strong comeback this year. The resurgence of EG has once again brought attention to the North American region, especially after enduring criticisms from other regions like Europe.

With their skilled coach and drafter, Bulba, leading the team confidently into TI11, fans have high hopes for their success in the main stage. Nightfall’s exceptional performance suggests that Evil Geniuses has a great chance of continuing their winning streak.
