VALORANT’s Patch 1.07: Check out the Notes and Updates

Sage, Killjoy, Viper, and Breach Receive Updates in VALORANT Patch 1.07

Riot Games has made adjustments to several agents in its tactical shooter game, VALORANT. Killjoy’s Nanoswarm ability has been nerfed to allow for more counterplay, while Sage’s healing and slow orb have also been reduced. On the other hand, Viper and Breach have received buffs to improve their viability in the meta. These changes aim to create a more balanced gameplay experience for players.

Sage’s Nerfs

Sage’s healing ability has been reduced from 100 health over five seconds to 60 health over five seconds. Additionally, her self-heal now provides 60 health over 10 seconds instead of the previous 100 health over five seconds. The size of her slow orb has also been decreased by 30 percent.

Killjoy’s Adjustments

As for Killjoy, her Nanoswarm ability now has a brief windup before dealing damage, and its damage per second has been reduced from 60 to 40. Visual effects have also been added to make the grenade easier to spot. The turret ability is no longer revealed by Sova’s Recon Bolt and has improved accuracy against enemies.

Viper’s Enhancements

Viper’s Toxic Screen can now be placed during the buy phase of rounds and forms faster along its full length. Decay from Viper’s smoke abilities no longer affects allies. Furthermore, Viper’s Pit, her ultimate ability, now displays the area of effect on her team’s minimap.

Breach’s Improvements

Breach’s Flashpoint ability now matches the behavior of other flashes in the game and applies a minimum amount of flash more aggressively. He also has an extra charge for this ability and a reduced windup time. The detonation delay between blasts for his Rolling Thunder ability has also been decreased. Concussion now de-scopes players and prevents re-scoping.

Weapon Updates

All Shotguns

When being headshot by a shotgun, the aimpunch will be lower compared to other weapons. Tagging has also been adjusted for targets beyond 10 meters, resulting in a 30 percent slow for 0.5 seconds.

Shorty

The first falloff range for the Shorty has been reduced from 9m to 7m, and its headshot multiplier is now 2x, matching the Judge and Bucky shotguns.

Judge

The price of the Judge shotgun has been increased from 1,500 to 1,600 credits.

Vandal

The Vandal assault rifle now has an increased firing rate from 9.25 to 9.75 and deals slightly more damage, from 39 to 40.

Other Updates

In addition to agent and weapon adjustments, there are various quality of life improvements. Observers can toggle aim lines for players and customize which teams’ outlines are visible. Corpse markers now follow colorblind settings, and there are hotkey order fixes for selecting players during overtime. Several UI and user experience improvements have also been implemented.

Competitive updates include the ability to call for a remake when starting with an unbalanced team and additional ranked visual differentiations. Bug fixes have been made, such as resolving issues with surrender votes and language preferences.

These updates aim to enhance the overall gameplay experience in VALORANT, providing a more balanced and enjoyable environment for players.
