Rise Secures Spot in Champions’ Last Chance Qualifier with Victory over TSM

Rise has secured a spot in the Champions’ Last Chance Qualifier for North America after their victory over TSM in the lower bracket of the NA VCT Stage Three: Challengers Playoffs. This win ensures that Rise will earn enough VCT points to qualify for the international LAN.

TSM Dominates Early Rounds, but Rise Fights Back

In the match against TSM, Rise struggled in the early rounds as TSM claimed the first four rounds. However, Rise started using their utility effectively as the half progressed. Despite TSM winning most of the teamfights, Rise managed to tie the match at 8-8. TSM then went on a four-round run, but Rise attempted a late comeback. However, TSM shut down a final B site push, winning Split with a stellar performance from the entire team.

Rise Shines on their Map Pick

On Rise’s map pick, Haven, they dominated TSM with their A push. Shanks and neptune displayed impressive performances, with neptune joining Shanks on the top of the scoreboard in the second half. Rise completely shut out TSM’s attack side, securing a 13-6 victory on Haven.

Neptune’s Dominance on Breeze

Neptune showcased his skills on Skye during the defense on Breeze. With 15 kills in just the first nine rounds, Neptune punished TSM for failing to watch their flanks. TSM started utilizing utility towards the end of the first half, reducing Rise’s lead to 7-5. However, Rise increased their lead and eventually won the match.

This victory for Rise guarantees them at least 50 points, securing their spot in the Last Chance Qualifier. They will now face XSET in the next round of the lower bracket. TSM, on the other hand, finishes with 40 VCT points and will have to rely on the performance of other North American teams to reach the Last Chance Qualifier.
