VALORANT LOCK//IN finalists disappoint with winless exit at VCT Masters Tokyo

LOUD Falls Short at VCT Masters Tokyo

Despite high expectations, LOUD failed to secure a single win at the VALORANT Champions Tour 2023 season’s LOCK//IN grand final in Tokyo.

As the first seed from the Americas, LOUD bypassed the group stage but suffered defeats against Evil Geniuses on June 15 and EDward Gaming on June 18.

Unlike their previous successful tournaments, LOUD struggled in Tokyo, lacking their usual map flexibility, player talent, and strategy.

In their playoff opener against EG, LOUD was outplayed in aim and strategy due to exceptional play from EG’s C0M and jawgemo.

Sent to the lower bracket, LOUD faced unexpected opponents in the Chinese team, EDG, and suffered further setbacks.

LOUD’s choice of map for the series against EDG backfired, and they struggled to recover in subsequent matches.

Despite some resistance in the final map, LOUD ultimately fell short, with a play from nobody sealing their fate.

Despite criticism of their tactical decisions and player roles, LOUD couldn’t secure a win and will be heading home empty-handed.

Meanwhile, EDG will continue in the lower bracket to face their next opponent on June 20, and LOUD will appear again in the VALORANT Champions 2023.
