Psyonix Celebrates the 2021 NFL Draft with Rocket League Event
In honor of the 2021 NFL Draft, Psyonix has launched the NFL Draft Celebration event in Rocket League. The event brings back the popular NFL Fan Pack and introduces the Gridiron Limited Time game mode. Players can join in on the fun and represent their favorite NFL teams until May 3.
Experience a Hybrid of Rocket League and American Football
During the event, players can enjoy a unique combination of Rocket League and American football. This exciting crossover was previously featured during the NFL Super Bowl LV Celebration event in February, but this time, there are new event challenges. Players can compete to unlock a new NFL Avatar Border and NFL Player Banner.
NFL Fan Pack: Show Your Team Pride
The NFL Fan Pack includes 32 Octane Decals, each representing a team in the NFL. You can purchase the pack for 800 Credits and find it in its own dedicated tab in the Item Shop.
Get Ready for Gridiron: A Unique Game Mode
Gridiron is a thrilling four-vs-four mode that brings elements of American football to Rocket League. The field features hash marks and the iconic NFL logo at the 50-yard line. Instead of the regular Rocket League ball, players will use an American football. When you touch the ball, it automatically attaches to the roof of your car, allowing you to “run” with it. If another player touches the ball, they become the new ball carrier, creating opportunities for handoffs and steals.
Keep in mind that as the ball carrier, you can only perform a single jump. Attempting a double jump or any aerial maneuvers will cause you to drop the ball.
