Heretics keeps ardiis on VALORANT team’s bench after his medical leave

Heretics Parts Ways with Ardiis Due to Medical Leave

Heretics has announced that Ardis “ardiis” Svarenieks will no longer be playing for its VALORANT team. The 23-year-old player had been on medical leave for the past few weeks, as he revealed today.

In June, Ardiis joined Heretics from G2, along with Patryk “paTiTek” Fabrowski, as part of the organization’s roster rebuild. However, in July, he had to take a break due to health issues just before the EU VCT Stage Three: Challengers Two open qualifier. Heretics has since replaced the Latvian player with Amine “Amilwa” Saidi, who will now become the team’s official fifth player, according to ardiis.

In a TwitLonger post, ardiis stated, “After a few rough weeks for me in the hospital, I came back to find out that Heretics want to continue with the current five they have now.” Although he is still under contract with Heretics, he is allowed to explore other options. He added, “Ready to grind with the right project, flexible player (can play anything -smokes) and honestly just wanna get back to winning again.”

Although Heretics did not perform well with Amilwa at the EU VCT Stage Three: Challengers Two, being eliminated by Vitality in the closed qualifier, the team may feel they have better chemistry with the French player compared to their experience with ardiis.

Now that ardiis has expressed his readiness to return to play, he may not remain on the sidelines for long, especially since he was part of the G2 VALORANT lineup that won several tournaments between 2020 and 2021. Many European and North American VALORANT teams that failed to qualify for the VCT Challengers Playoffs will likely be looking to make roster changes in the coming weeks.
