Pride-themed gun buddies coming back to VALORANT in the following month

Riot Games Celebrates Pride Month with In-Game Content

Riot Games is once again celebrating Pride Month in 2023 by offering players a collection of Pride items within its games. This year, VALORANT players can expect to find Pride gun buddies and additional in-game items as part of the collection.

Free Emotes, Icons, and Titles for All Players

Riot Games has announced that across all its games, players will have access to several new emotes, icons, and titles, along with a range of returning content, all available for free.

As part of the Pride celebration, Riot Games is also highlighting seven talented player artists who contribute to the community with their creativity and passion.

Variety of Pride Player Cards and Gun Buddy Coin

The announcement features a banner image showcasing some of the Pride player cards and the Pride gun buddy coin, which were introduced during last year’s Pride celebration.

The player cards from the previous year’s Pride celebration featured eight iterations of LGBTQIA+ flags on the VALORANT logo. Each card represented a different identity, including transgender, non-binary, pansexual, LGBTQIA+, lesbian, bisexual, asexual, and gay men, with fun names like Rainbow, Sherbet, Mint, and Cotton Candy.

In 2021, players had to redeem codes on the VALORANT website’s Redemption page to acquire the Pride cards. However, some encountered difficulties redeeming their codes or accessing the new items. In 2022, Riot simplified the process by making the Pride Collection available in the store for free, allowing players to obtain all eight 2022 cards and two Pride gun buddies.

While the specific new Pride items for the 2023 collection in VALORANT haven’t been announced yet, players can expect exciting additions to the lineup.
