FC Barcelona and Rocket League Roster Split Ways

Ronaky and Barça eSports Part Ways After One Year

Aldin Hodzic, known as Ronaky, and the Rocket League roster of Barça eSports have officially announced their separation from the organization. The decision was made by FC Barcelona, the parent company, and not by the players or Barça eSports themselves, according to Germán Micciullo, the team’s coach.

In a tweet, Barça eSports stated that their Rocket League team will no longer be a part of the club. Despite being a consistent and strong team, they were unable to break into the top tier of the Rocket League scene in Europe. However, they delivered impressive performances in the Rocket League Championship Series and The Grid in recent times.

The decision to part ways was made by FC Barcelona, despite efforts by the Barça eSports division to prevent it. El General, the team’s coach, expressed his disappointment and stated that he will be returning to Latin America to focus on organizing tournaments, which is his passion.

While El General plans to continue his career in esports, the future plans of the other players remain unknown. Only itachi has officially announced that he is looking for another organization. It is unclear whether the remaining players will stick together or pursue separate opportunities. However, they all expressed gratitude to Barça eSports for their support over the past year.

As of now, FC Barcelona’s only esports team listed on their website is for Pro Evolution Soccer. This marks the end of Barça eSports’ involvement in Rocket League.
